- Hi I am 35 years of age and living in the lovely county of Wiltshire with my gorgeous hubby Alan and 2 children, Brad (12) Kt (8) (see above). I have only started to become interested in card making so very new to this. Although I have been crafting for a year I was unable to get really involved until now!

How's life in the craft world? I've been crafting but found it hard to find the time however, I've made some I'd like to share with you!!
Since becoming a crafter in October I've managed to buy a heat gun (but need more time to practice with it), acetate (which I love for making shaker cards) & brads.
I have also got into making penny slider cards especially for children however I don't have any to display at the moment.
Please see cards I've made, mother's Day cards (basic but pretty I think), a card I made using images from the computer to capture a canal scene & an anniversary card.
Enjoy!!

Christmas cards
Hiya
Hello to my followers, although there hasn't been much to follow lately!!! Life's been terribly manic which is a shame because I was hoping to get stuck into this hobby.
Anyway, since my last post we have 2 new additions to our family, Patch & Roonie our 14 week old kittens. They're soooo cute and hassle free. Already they're part of the family!!
Ok, today I managed to have some quality time with my daughter again & yes we've been making Christmas cards. I think they're very basic (less is more everyone tells me!) but we totally enjoyed our afternoon.
I hope to add more to my gallery as I go along!!
Bye xx

An afternoon with my daughter
Hiya peeps
What a strange day weather wise!!! Must'nt complain as I had the opportunity to get crafting with my eager & impatient daughter, Caitlin.
We had the perfect excuse as my son had his birthday last week & needed to send his thank you notes. Typical lad who loves computers & football however he must show his appreciation.
See our attempts above,very basic!!!
Still early days for me in that I have lots to learn. Browsing loads on the net & meeting friends regularly. I see this attempt as something I will reflect back on I'm sure.

First creation!!!
Hi everyone
Thank you for all your kind comments & for hopping to my blog. OK what's been happening since..... well I had a lovely enjoyable evening with Jo on Monday. I was actually given the opportunity to work alongside Jo & create very similar cards. I am proud of my first attempt & have done nothing but show it off to friends & colleagues. SAD EH!!! hee hee.
Today, is my son's 11th birthday & ideally I was hoping to make him a card. It wasn't until I visited Jo that I realised what could be done & how far this hobby could take me!!!. Unfortunately Brad had a bought card but my aim now is to meet Jo regularly to get further tips & ideas.
Please find above my first attempt of making a card using:
- White card
- double sided tape
- Printed & plain paper (colour coordinated)
- Pixie stamper
- Pro markers
- buttons
I look forward to your comments!!

Hello everyone
I hope all is well. I am now waiting for my first craft package to come through. Yippee!!!
Today was a quiet day however I managed to look around town for items, giving me plenty of ideas. Tracy was the first person to inspire me into thinking about taking up such a hobby. Jo is willing to allow me watch her at work & I am really looking forward to that!!
Hopefully I will be able to add my own cards on here soon!!! Entering competitions are fun and looking at other blogs are fab too.
Please feel free to leave comments on how you started out with this hobby. It would be most useful!!
Thanks

Thank you
Good evening crafters!!! I've had a busy day at work (unfortunately) but once home I got searching for more information around card making. I just wanted to say thank you to Jo for being soooo helpful. As I mentioned before I'm very new to this and I'm still trying to get to grips with using this Blog let alone anything else!! I follow 3 Blogs at present although I've somehow lost the link to one of them. (Please email me your url address Bev!!!)
Loving what I see on the blogs I watch and can't wait to meet others to capture ideas. I hope to have my Christmas cards made for all the special people in my life this year!!
